Organic Maps needs a few volunteers to help with technical aspects of translations:

to help less tech-savvy translators
to offload technical translation work from the developers (ideally a developer would just add / change strings.txt in English and don't bother about the translation workflow)

Activities and pre-requisites:

understand the technical aspects of OM's translation workflow well (regen script and commits, many strings files we have, etc.)
monitor incoming PRs and issues that touch translations (and other contributors will tag/mention you sometimes too)
facilitate translations PRs by asking a relevant language translators to review/proof-read each other's work
review and approve translations PRs from a technical point of view
merge translation PRs when they're ready
help fellow translators to technically integrate their changes in OM (e.g. sometimes have to create a PR based on a file they provided, or run a regenerate script for them, etc.)
after a feature PR that has EN strings changes is merged - raise a follow-up translations PR pre-filled with automatic translations and ask the translation team to proof-read it and then incorporate the suggestions

@organicmaps/translations please drop a line if you'd like to step up as a translations maintainer!
You don't have to do everything and process each PR etc. - even helping with a couple issues each week would be a great help! 2-3 contributors will cover the most of the work I think.
