I recently tried to load the opening hours for a business and found that the app would not record the split time.

In my logic, and following the scheme indicated by OSM to save a split schedule, for example: from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 (opening_hours=Mo-Fr 08:00-12:00,16:00-20:00) the app did not take the period from 16:00 to 20:00.

I reported the situation as a bug to tech support, and Alexander Borsuk Software Engineer & Co-Founder @ Organic Maps very kindly and patiently replied that the schedule should be loaded like this: opening hours from 8:00 to 20:00, and then add a break from 12:00 to 16:00.

I consider that the way Organic Maps proposes in its app to load the schedules is not the natural way used by OSM mappers, those of us who think in terms of the formal scheme proposed by OSM.

In many countries, work schedules are not on a straight timetable and businesses operate on a split timetable.

In fact, other mapping apps use the OSM scheme to load schedules.

I invite developers to analyze the possibility of changing the way of loading opening hours, accordi

ng to the OSM scheme.
