Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
See a translated user report below. This situation is only possible if the map is somehow corrupted. No any code in Organic Maps writes/modifies already downloaded maps. So it is hard to explain how file corruption happens on iOS, where the internal device memory is used (corrupted storage?).
On Android, it may be caused by a corrupted/old/fake SD card.
For a week I have had a problem with downloaded maps that have suddenly disappeared.
In the past, it happened after every update of the app I had to download countless downloaded maps a few days later because they had disappeared. I have no idea if this is a known problem, but it is tricky when you are on the road when that happens and you have too little data to download the maps again.
Since last week it has happened 4 times that I suddenly lost dozens of downloaded maps. I noticed this if I wanted to plan a long route across several countries because I then got the notification below.
Strangely enough, it was not (immediately) shown which maps I should download. If I tried to plan the long route a few more times (in vain), then finally a number of missing maps for the planned route appeared in the pop-up above. When I consulted my overview of downloaded maps, dozens of other maps were also gone, from various countries (especially Germany, France, and Italy but also various other countries throughout Europe).
Every time I redownloaded the missing maps and then the problem occurred again one or two days later, dozens of maps disappeared. Sometimes it is the previously gone cards that are gone but sometimes others. The problem also occurred at a time when I hadn’t been online at all with my phone.
I use an iPhone SE (2020) and use the most recent version of the Organic app. I am currently using iOS version 17.4.1, not the most recent version.
