Yahoo - it works!!

We need to improve the save dialog, it needs FOUR choices. Below is what we have:

Save into bookmarks and tracks?

continue recording
stop without saving
save

Below would be my suggestion - no header required - notes in italics

[default filename] - editable field containing Date

Save and End - obvious

Save and Continue - this could eventually reset any embedded time limit

End without saving

Continue without saving - These last would equate the "recent tracks" functionionality

Eventually maybe this could offer a choice of lists to save to

We need a way to file subsequent tracks into different lists, and export each track separately

I tried renaming the default "My Places" list, and the subsequent track was added into the renamed list. Once that happened (two tracks in one list) there was no way to move one of them to a different list, and no way to save one of the two tracks separately

I noticed the release version of Organic maps has the same defect - when I select a track within a list, I have only the option to delete. The export option is only available for the entire list, and combines the entire list into one gpx file. I want to export individual tracks.

I suggest that the menu options for a single selected track or place within a list would be Delete, Move (to another list), Export, etc

ps This would be solved if the same "share, edit, delete" menu would appear for selected "tracks" as it currently does for "places"

Choosing "edit" then allows me to place the track into another list.

Feature to add....

It would surely be nice to have a field displayed on the map which would display the current recorded speed, time, distance, elevation, and maybe eventually the elevation change This might be able to re-use much or all of the existing dialog which we have for navigation
