I tested this link on a completely fresh device with a new Google Account. It works without any problems.

Indeed, on smartphones this link opens, but when opened from the desktop, it says that the link is invalid.

The problem is that Google Play uses the same application id for all
tracks. It is not possible to install two versions simultaneously.
