Some cities, specially (but not only) outside of North America and Europe, rely heavily on bus-based public transport, either with bus corridors or BRTs. While it makes no sense to render every single local bus line, it might make sense to render BRT corridors (
highway=busway
on OSM) and their stations, similar to how we currently render trains and subway, ideally with their operators' colors (like we already do for trains). Eventually a slightly different style could be used to differentiate between them -maybe a thinner line?Describe the ideal solution
I would love to see BRT corridors on the public transport layer on Organic Maps. Did a quick comparison on three different navigation apps that are not only focused on public transport - Apple Maps, Google Maps and Organic Maps - and on Apple Maps the bus corridors are shown (as well as other smaller transports, such as tramway, funicular, cable car etc).
Describe alternatives you have considered
As mentioned above, here are three screenshots from the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, respectively on Apple Maps, Google Maps and Organic Maps. Notice that on the first the bus corridors are shown, while on the other two, only trains are shown.
Apple Maps:

(Here you can see four BRT corridors, on the colors blue (center/west, partly parallel to green train, then going south), orange, green and pink. Notice Apple also went on that direction of setting BRT corridors on a slightly thinner line.)
Google Maps:

Additional context
I personally think it would be a great addition, specially because Google Maps does not show BRT corridors on the public transport layer, so it would be a great differential / "selling point" for Organic Maps.
